Instead of conclusion - an overview of the essential points


of the innovation process in the Republic of Korea

On the base of the analysis and systematization of the factual data


can be synthesized the following essential points concerning the innovation process in the Republic of Korea:

1.All stages of the innovation development of the Republic of Korea are characterized by the presence of a clear government commitment to scientific and technical progress. Admittedly, this state is based on a specific philosophy that should be called the "philosophy of development”;


2. A key point in the state will support the innovation dynamics and hence in the "philosophy of development is the view that these dynamics play a strategic role. In other words the innovations are regarded as platform for the development of the country without any alternative;

3. Third important point that is demonstrated in the analysis of national innovation system and national innovation process of the Republic of Korea is the flexible and evolving over time synthesis of state, academic factors and economic structures. The skillfully supported balance in the implementation of this synthesis creates favorable conditions for accelerated innovation process;

4. Extremely important is also the clear orientation to the human factor as the core of the innovation process, its development through various mechanisms of learning and its activation by modern forms of motivation and incentives;ЧуйтПрочит на латиница

5. Very important is also the diversity and variety of forms, mechanisms and approaches for the realization of the innovation process. Even in the absence of noticeable achievements in basic research for which evidence is the lack of Nobel laureates in the basic research areas, the Republic of Korea achieved significant success in innovation and technological development. This is precisely because of this diversity in the development of innovative approaches, innovation transfer and preparation of innovative structures;

6. Creation of a network for international cooperation, which network is becoming an important channel for acquiring excellence in science and technology.


Moreover, the Republic of Korea, Korea, unlike other developing countries, chose to largely forgo foreign direct investment (FDI) and instead focused on arm's-length methods such as reverse engineering, original equipment manufacturing (OEM), and foreign licensing.

7. As a conclusion we have to say that these essential moments in the development of the innovation process in the Republic of Korea clearly represent a positive experience, which is possible to be successfully applied in Bulgaria.
