СТИПЕНДИИ ЗА MBA НА ЕВРОПЕЙСКОТО УЧИЛИЩЕ ПО МЕНИДЖМЪНТ И ТЕХНОЛОГИИ Европейското училище по мениджмънт и технологии (ESMT) в Берлин предлага стипендии за магистърската си програма по бизнес администрация (Full-time MBA). Програмата се провежда на английски език и е насочена към мениджъри с не по-малко от три години професионален стаж. Стипендиите на ESMT покриват частично или изцяло таксата за обучение и са присъждани на кандидати с отлични академични и професионални постижения. Част от финансирането е предназначено специално за талантливи дами, които желаят да се обучават в програмата. Условието за отпускане на стипендия е да сте приети във Full-time MBA програмата. За стипендиите не се кандидатства, те се отпускат автоматично на най-добрите студенти. Необходимите документи за кандидатстване са апликационен формуляр, CV, две препоръки, четири есета, които да демонстрират вашите идеи за лидерство, личните и професионалните ви постижения и плановете ви за развитие. Също така трябва предоставите резултати от GMAT, официално копие на английски език от академичната ви справка и сертификат за владеене на английски език. С одобрените по документи кандидати се провежда интервю. Крайният срок за кандидатстване за програмата, която започва през януари 2010 г. е 1 декември 2009 г. ЧАСТИЧНИ СТИПЕНДИИ ЗА МАГИСТРАТУРИ НА АНГЛИЙСКИ ЕЗИК В ХЕЛЗИНКИ Университетът в Хелзинки, Финландия обявява прием за магистърски програми за академичната 2010-2011 г. Университетът предлага 30 международни магистърски програми и отпуска частични стипендии за отлични студенти. Някои от по-интересните магистратури, които Университетът в Хелзинки предлага, са: " Горски науки и бизнес", "Геоинформатика", "Етнически връзки, културни различия и интеграция", "Религиозни корени на Европа", "Преводна медицина", "Баезиева статистика и анализ на решение" и "Храна на живота". Продължителността на магистратурите е две години, а езикът, на който се провеждат – английски. Крайният срок за кандидатстване за повечето програми е 1 февруари 2010 г. За определени програми има по-ранни крайни срокове, например - 1 декември 2009 г. за "Храна на живота". Обучението в университета в Хелзинки е безплатно. Всички международни студенти, които са приети в магистърски програми на английски език и не пребивават за постоянно във Финландия, имат възможност да получат стипендия. За Helsinki International Student Grant не се кандидатства, стипендията се отпуска автоматично на вече приети отлични студенти. Някои от по-интересните магистратури, които NTNU предлага, са: "Производство на силиций и железни сплави", "Природен газ – техонологии", "Индустриална екология", "Инженерство за иновативна и устойчива енергия", "Токсикология и химия на околната среда", "Геотехника и геоложки рискове"и "Крайбрежно и морско цивилно инженерство". Продължителността на магистратурите е две години, а езикът, на който се провеждат – английски. Желаещите да кандидатстват за академичната 2010 – 2011 г. трябва да попълнят онлайн регистрационния формуляр преди 1 декември 2009. Ако преминат първоначалната селекция, студентите трябва да представят диплома за завършена степен бакалавър, академична справка, сертификат за владеене на английски език и препоръки преди 1 февруари 2010 г. За прием в някои от магистратурите се изисква минимум 2 години трудов стаж по специалността. Обучението в магистърските програми е безплатно. Необходимо е обаче студентите да вземат предвид, че разходите за живот в Норвегия са по-високи от тези в повечето европейски държави. Преводаческата служба на Европейската комисия организира два пъти годишно стаж за висшисти, които желаят да придобият опит в нейната област на дейност, съобщава Eurodesk.org. Работата на стажантите е същата като тази на щатните преводачи - писмен превод на европейското законодателство. Текстовете на стажантите се проверяват от старши служители. Някои стажанти могат да бъдат назначени в езиковата библиотека, в отдела по терминология или в друг помощен отдел на службата по преводи. Кандидатите трябва да имат висше образование и да могат да превеждат на майчиния си език от други два официални езика на ЕС. Един от езиците трябва да бъде английски, френски или немски. Не се допускат кандидати, които вече са стажували за период, по-дълъг от шест седмици, в друга европейска институция. Стажантите получават месечна стипендия 963 евро. Call for participation in European Universities’ Charter on Lifelong Learning follow-up projectCategory: Eua News, Research News, Newsletter 18/2009 EUA, in a Consortium with the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities (EADTU), the European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN) and the European Access Network (EAN), is launching a new project entitled ‘Shaping Inclusive and Responsive University Strategies (SIRUS)’. The EU-funded project is designed to support Europe’s universities in implementing the commitments made in the European Universities’ Charter on Lifelong Learning and thus to assist them in developing their specific role as lifelong learning institutions forming a central pillar of the Europe of Knowledge. This project will offer approximately twenty universities with different profiles and interests in lifelong learning (LLL), and which are at different stages of LLL implementation, an opportunity to develop and enhance their strategic approaches to this issue, through interactive discussion with colleagues from all over Europe. At the same time, it will allow them to contribute to the development of policy recommendations for the European Higher Education Area. The participating universities will be selected through this call for participation and interested universities are invited to use the following application form. Federalisms in East and WestThe Europaeum is organising an international conference next September in Oxford on the theme of Federalisms - East and West, looking at current thinking and concepts of Federalism in Europe as compared with other major world regions, notably India, Canada, and the US. The Academic Director will be Professor David Marquand, former Chair of the Oxford Europaeum Group, member of the Europaeum Council, and former Principal of Mansfield College, Oxford University. Funding has been pledged by the James Madison Trust and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, and in partnership with the Universitaire Libre, Brussels. We will be looking for leading experts in the field from the Europaeum to take part. The steering group, chaired by Prof Marquand and involving key representatives from the funding bodies and partners, will be meeting over the autumn and more information will follow early in the new year. IAU 2010 International Conference will take place at Mykolas Romeris University, Vilnius, Lithuania, on 25-26 June, 2010. It is co-organized by MRU and IAU and will address the theme: Ethics and Values in Higher Education in the Era of Globalisation: What Role for the Disciplines?Please contact iau@unesco.org if you wish to receive updates on Programme. An international conference being organised by the Institute of History at Leiden University will be analysing the relationship between cultural and political regionalism in the period 1890-1914 and the international comparison of these movements in Europe. Scholars from a number of Europaeum institutions will be taking part, including Helsinki, Bologna, Oxford, and of course Leiden. The Europaeum will also be offering some modest support under its new initiatives scheme. In particular, the scholars will look at how these various developments relate to each other: Were regionalism and separatism similar movements? Why did some regions prefer to create a distinct identity, as an indispensable but unique part of the fatherland, whereas other regions stressed that their separate identity was threatened by prolonging the link with the existing centralised political system? How did this relate to the wider national and international context, and is it possible to uncover patterns which would enable us to explain the different paths taken by different regional movements?
