Rumelina Vasileva is a Chief Assistant at the State University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT), Sofia, Bulgaria. She is a professor in Library Management Department. Teaches the courses “Management and development of library collections”, “Information Management”, “Information Assurance Science and Education”, “Library Marketing” (for BA); “Strategies for information seeking”, “Human Resource Management”, “Online content: innovation and policies”, etc (for MA). Ph.D. in “Theory of scientific information” in the professional field 3.5. “Public communications and information science”. Member of Union of Scientists in Bulgaria; Association of University Libraries, Bulgarian Library and Information Association. Member of the management teams of the national and international projects: “The University libraries – Centres for Scientific and Culture Communication, Bridge to the Unified European Educational Space” (EY 2008); PHARE 2005/HRDPE/Grants. “Developing a Network of Continuing Education Centres for Librarian Organizers, Serving the Small Local Communities”; “National Bibliography in Electronic Form – Bulgaria and Russia: Research and Application of Theoretical and Methodological Perspectives” (2010); “Project DASUN 2011 – Danube Seniors' Universities” – Within the e-Learning program of the EU for the use of ICT in adult education in Europe: E-Learning in Later Life - eLiLL Active Ageing Programme and the World Health Organization (ULSIT, AUL, UUlm, ZAWiW, 2011).
