Sofia Art Academy presents Quarterly Juried Art Contest Spring 2008 About the Contest , v» _ This visual artists' contest, quarterly-based (winter, spring, summer and fall) is hosted and juried by professors and staff members ol boTld AiL Acddetliy and also some distinguished members of the local art communities. The purpose of these competitions is recognition and promotion of talented professional and rising artists.
This contest is open to all artists (Except students of Sofia Art Academy) from across the United States. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics and digital art are eligible. NO MORE Wan two recent pieces for consideration. There are two different age groups forms (Adult 18 and up and children between 7 and 18) required for submission.

Submit! Deadline of the Contest The final postmarked deadline is deadline, all entries must be pos 30, 2008. There will be no extension of the 3ate. Winners will be notified by May Juried Art Contests 0f-M" Juried Art Contest Spring 2008 Deadline April 30, 2008 Entry Fee There is a $35 non-refundable entry fee for each artist. Make your check or money order in US funds, drawn on a US Bank, payable to: Sofia Art Academy and send to:
Adult awards: 1st: $350. 2nd: $250. 3rd: $100 Children awards: 1st: $150. 2nd: $100. 3rd: $50 Also, the jury will choose top 10 artworks that will be exhibited at Sofia Art Academy's web site for three months.
Instead of cash awards, winners will get private classes at Sofia Art Academy 1st: 7 classes (value of $420) 2nd: 5 classes (value of $300) 3rd: 3 classes (value of $180)  Image Presentation NO EMAIL SUBMISSIONS! Artwork submitted may be represented either by prints, or digital image files. DO NOT SEND SLIDES!
Prints may be any format - photographic, laser, ink jet are all acceptable. Prints are accepted up to 8.5" x 11" in size. Each print must be labeled with artist's name, title of work, media, and dimensions of work. List the same information on the entry form image list. Digital Image Digital image files may be submitted on PC platform CD or DVD disc. JPG, TIF or PDF formats are acceptable. No files larger than 15MB please. Include a reference sheet with prints representing the images on the disc. Next to each print write the artist's name, title, media, dimensions and file name. All materials send to:
NO materials will be returned. DO NOT send Self-Addressed-Stamped-Envelope (SASE). All materials will be destroyed after the competition is over.
