The Rowing Channel Cache Historical Info The Rowing Channel (Grebna baza) in Plovdiv is one of the conveniences which the city has to offer. It is worth visiting it when you wish to take a walk, to rollerskate or ride a bike or just to relax around the amazing nature of the area. This is one of the city’s sights and a favorite resting place for many people form Plovdiv. The Rowing Channel is a modern sporting complex, where national and international sporting events and competitions are held. The channel is build in the late 1980’s according to international standards and approved by FICA. It is open in 1990. The channel is 2.2 km long, 120 m wide and 3 m deep, which makes it the biggest artificial channel in Bulgaria. Гребен канал /Гребната база/. Каналът е дълъг 2.200 м, широк 120 м. и дълбок 3 м. което го прави най-големият изкуствен канал в България.
