Sofia Vasileva is an Associate Professor at the State University of Library Studies and Information Technologies, (SULSIT), Sofia, Bulgaria. Ph.D. in History of Bulgaria. She lectures on Cultural Policy and Cultural and Historical Heritage, and on Cultural Institutions. She manages research and student mobility projects which are implemented under the Operational Programmes of the EU Structural Funds and the National Science Fund at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science. Her research interests are in the field of modern and contemporary history, integration in the European spiritual environment, policies of Cultural Heritage etc. Member of the Forum UNESCO - University and Heritage International Network (FUUH).
