Постижения:


  • Генетична комплементация на на мутацията ade3-5 и идентифициране на ген PUR2,5 от пуриновата биосинтеза на метилотрофни дрожди Hansenula (Ogataea) polymorpha. Генът кодира бифункционален белтък с глицинамид-риботид синтетазна и аминоимидазол-риботид синтетазна активности, катализиращи съответно втория и петия етап от de novo пуриновата биосинтеза в този вид дрожди.

  • Конструиране на совалкови вектори за E. coli и Klebsiella, хетероложна експресия на амилазен ген на Bacillus licheniformis под контрола на lac-промотор и успешна секреция на ензима в двата гостоприемника.

  • Клониране, секвениране и хетероложна експресия на cgt гени, кодиращи циклодекстрин-глюканотрансферази от алкалофилни бацили в E. coli.

  • Идентифициране, клониране и секвениране на гени за амилаза, амилопулуланаза и инулиназа от различни родове млечнокисели бактерии.

Изследователска дейност на секцията

Ензими, продуцирани от микроорганизми: изолиране, пречистване, свойства и биологична роля. Микробна трансформация на стероидни съединения. Биологично-активни съединения от микробен и синтетичен произход – антимикробна активност, механизъм на действие. Сърфактанти, продуцирани от микроорганизми (биосърфактанти) – биосинтез, изолиране, пречистване, физико-химични свойства; влияние върху повърхностните свойства на микробната клетка; приложение в биотехнологии, в медицината, фармакологията и опазване на околната среда. Характеристика и изучаване на метаболитните способности на нови мезофилни и психрофилни/психротолерантни бактерии и дрожди, изолирани от екстремни екологични ниши за получаване на ензими, антимикробни вещества и др. Микробна деградация на алифатни и ароматни въглеводороди – замърсители на околната среда.

  • Получаване на биологично-активни съединения от микробен и синтетичен произход за нови фармацефтични препарати, за биологично разграждане на отпадъци и други биотехнологии” Договор №: ДНТС Украйна 01/0003/ 2012, ФНИ.

Постижения:

  • Изолиран е нов вид бактерия, Myroides guanonis, от праисторическите рисунки в пещера Магурата.
