От 1993 е президент на международната научна комисията по Физика, химия и хидрогеология на карста на ЮИС на ЮНЕСКО. Тази комисия е с над 110 члена от 32 държави. От 1996 е ръководител на международната програма “Записи на измененията на околната среда в Слънчевата система” на ЮИС на ЮНЕСКО. б. Ръководство на национални програми и работни групи: През 1999 г е координатор на фотометричната програма на Националната програма за изследване на пълното слънчево затъмнение под патронажа на БАН (Информационен БЮЛЕТИН на БАН, Брой 9(34), Година IV, 19 август 1999г. В нея участваха 120 наблюдатели с 60 инструмента базирани в 10 селища и на борда на свръхзвуков изтребител на ВВС. В рамките на нея работиха и 11 колеги от 6 катедри на физическия факултет. От 1990 до 2004 г. е ръководител на националните работни групи на международните програми IGCP 299, след това IGCP 379 и IGCP 488 на IUGS на UNESCO.
