TOES20130729001 A Spanish public research organization has developed a new family of oligonucleotides for the detection of Herpes and entereovirus by a method based on polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Compared to previous methods, the new test can selectively differentiate, in a same sample, the different types of virus, and could be used as a kit for a more accurate diagnostic of these infections. Biotech or pharmaceutical companies are sought for further development under a know-how license.
