On behalf of the Department of English and American Studies at Sofia University, we have the pleasure of inviting you to contribute to the Festschrift volume
Language Up Close
in honour of Associate Professor Christo Stamenov on the occasion of his 75th birthday next year
To honour Christo Stamenov’s academic achievements, we welcome contributions in the following research areas: General linguistics (in particular morpho-syntactic and phonological issues in English and Bulgarian, as well as word-formation and language contact), Contrastive Linguistics and Translation Studies.
Please send your papers to festschrift.stamenov.chr@gmail.com by 20th January 2018. Style guidelines are included below.

Style guidelines
The papers should be sent electronically in DOC/DOCX and PDF format to the email address of the project: festschrift.stamenov.chr@gmail.com
The font should be Times New Roman, 12 points. The papers should not exceed 26 000 characters, including spaces, references, tables, figures and footnotes.
The language of the papers can be English or Bulgarian. The abstract should be in a language different from the language of the paper.
The text should be laid out as follows:
1. line – title: Times New Roman, 14 points, Bold, Centered, Caps Lock
2. line – blanc
3. line – author’s name(s): Times New Roman, size 13, Regular, Centered
4. line – affiliation
5. line – blanc
6. line – abstract of up to 10 lines: Times New Roman, size 12, Regular, Justified, First Line 1,2 cm
17. line – blanc
18. line – key words (up to 5): Times New Roman, size 10, Regular, Justified, First Line 1,2 cm
19. line – blanc
20. line – the text begins: Times New Roman, size 12, Regular, Justified, First Line 1,2 cm
Citing within the text (author’s name year of publication colon page) should be enclosed in round brackets, e.g. (Bauman 2000: 43). If the source is a collection, give the editor’s name, e.g. (Gerould, ed. 2000: 56).
are to be employed if necessary (not Endnotes).
Diagrams and tables should be placed at their designated place in the text, accompanied by numbering and captions in Bold, centered.
Highlighting should be in Italic.
No pagination, please.
The reference sources are to be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the text without numbering. If the paper is in English, the titles in the Roman alphabet should be listed first, followed by sources in Cyrillic, and vice versa. Examples of citing papers, books, chapters and electronic sources are given below. If more than one publication of the same author and year is cited, mark them with a, b, c.
