ABSTRACT
The urban silhouette is related to all urban dimensions – material and immaterial dimensions, time and space, profane (social, еconomic, political) and spiritual (sacred, cultural) dimensions, whence it represents the actual urban gear, interrelating these detached fragments in one meaningful whole, providing the response to the universal truth about the tendencies in the evolution of spatial identity and urban process. The study on the mechanisms of interrelation between the above-mentioned should be used for formulating the main pillars, standing on the basis of a holistic approach, which determines the complexity of the urban nature and connects the fragmented analyses in one meaningful whole.
