Situation in the Balkan was worst. Until 1989 there were not titles which had notion of jihad(normaly Turkey is not included) . That year appeared two books. One in greek ,The Holy war of islam<< Jihad>>,written by Ilias D. Nikolakakis ,Thessaloniki,1989, Author had P.h.D in theology.That means there were not any books dedicated to jihad in political,or historic sciences. This year appeared the second tittles written by author of this paper,titled „Modern jihad as war“(Savremeni dzihad kao rat, I edition 1989, II edition 1995,and third one 2001) That was only title dedicated to jihad in social sciences in former Yougoslavia and in entire Balkan. And it is only published P.h.D thesis ,with that topic ,in former Yougoslavia until today At present, the population of the EU is approximately 5% Muslim; France is 10% Muslim.
